Free Pizza

is the best way to stay fed at school. It appears everywhere. In fact, a pizza tree grows outside my building.

So, I haven't been cooking much. Apologies for the lack of posts.

You must be more sought after than I am. I got a "free" sandwich today - -actually pretty good; nice chubby mozarella with crispy roasted summer squash, but in return I have to judge 2 competitions and advise 2 moot court teams. I hope your pizza tree asks nothing back of you. In my experience, trees are not demanding. Colleagues, on the other hand, are.
Love,
Mom

Free food is a common lure for grad students. But, in true berkeley fashion, we usually get better than pizza. Apparently once at a faculty meeting when they were discussing food some professor said "Well, its just grad students so we can just get pizza". A wonderful (and recently deceased) professor, Nick Cozzarelli, piped up "Graduate students need decent food, too!"
So the pizza may be free, but make sure you are getting proper nourishment, Suzanne. I think Doctors should be a shining beacon of good eating in our country's often desolate food landscape.
